We’re heading into prime soup season! And what better way to celebrate the harvest than to enjoy the bounty of your own garden – or fresh local foods from our own local farmers – in a big pot of soup?
Many of us have favorites that we bring out of the recipe box at this time of year. And, this year seems a perfect one to share them as we all anticipate spending more time around our stoves and in our homes. Since November 16-19 is Agriculture Literacy Week, we invite you to share a favorite soup recipe that features the local bounty that our region offers for the soup pot!
Join Ruah Swennerfelt, Karen Tuininga and Margaret Woodruff on Zoom at 2:00 on November 19 to talk about what is wonderful about your locally-based soup, including any special stories you associate with it. Email or bring your recipe to the Library that week so we can make available to all. Please email the library at info@charlottepubliclibrary.org to sign up.
